This day course programme has been designed to deliver high quality training to all staff across the ABFA membership, and support and supplement the ABFA's Distance Learning Programme.

All ABFA day courses and distance learning programmes are open to non-members.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR DAY COURSES
Any changes or cancellations to bookings must be made in writing (email is acceptable). All cancellations must be received at the ABFA 45 working days before the start of the course to qualify for a full refund. Written cancellations 30 working days before the start of the Course will be subject to a 50% refund. No refund is possible for any cancellations made after 30 working days from the start of the Course. We are happy to welcome a substitute delegate at any time.

2012 Day Courses

Account Management

This two day courseworkshop is aimed at existing Client Managersattend with less than 12 months experience in the role and who monitor and manage clients on a day-to day basis. The course is also aimed at Senior Controllers and Administrators who are becoming involved with the Account Management function.

Audit and Survey Traning

This two day course is aimed at auditors, surveyors and managers looking to gain a basic to intermediary understanding of the best ways to complete an audit or survey visit. The course will include interactive training and video case studies to help make the course a very real and enjoyable experience.

Cashflow and Credit Management

This one - day course is aimed at Client Managers, Risk and Operations Managers and new and existing sales staff. The course is appropriate at all levels from new to senior staff. Students will be introduced to cashflow planning and monitoring by using case study information from ‘live’ examples and participate in group exercises in order to appreciate the significance of cashflow management as an important tool in managing risk and achieving turnaround.

Certificate Course - Introductory Seminar - Modules 1&2

This one-day course is aimed at students who are studying for the Certificate course. The course will aim to assist delegates in preparing for the first two sections of the Certificate Workbook.

Diploma Course - Financial Understanding Review

This one - day ‘workshop-based’ seminar is designed to help prepare delegates for their forthcoming examination. This course is aimed at students who are studying for the Financial Understanding module of the ABFA Diploma.

Fighting Financial Crime - An MLRO Workshop

This advanced half day course has been developed, at the request of the ABFA AML group, to provide additional training and advice to Money Laundering Reporting Officers (MLRO's) and any other staff responsible for the monitoring and reporting of any suspicious financial activity. The course will be aimed at staff who already have a sound understanding of Anti Money Laundering regulations and is designed to enhance that understanding and provide the opportunity to ask questions of experts and share experiences with others in a similar role.

This fantastic one - day course is developed for Client Managers, Risk and Operations staff and new and existing sales staff. This one-day course is suitable for those who are responsible for making day-to-day funding decisions or recommendations on client facilities and who wish to develop their knowledge and use of corporate recovery and insolvency procedures and insolvency law. This course is aimed at New Business Development, Risk and Underwriting and Client and Portfolio Managers who are engaged in, or who are considering, lending against inventory.
