2009's Educational Foundation Awards Dinner was held on Thursday 5th March 2009 at The Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington. The evening began with a champagne reception, followed by dinner and the awards ceremony which was hosted by Will Greenwood, MBE. 2009's Annual Dinner was held on Thursday 28th May 2009 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. This black tie evening began with a champagne reception, followed by welcome speech of ABFA's Chairman, Tim Corbett and the Indian themed dinner. The second ABFA Industry Quiz Night Competition reached its conclusion on 19th November, at Metro Bar and Grill in Birmingham, as 'Barclays Eagles' were crowned the 2009 'ABFA Quiz Champions'.
