The first ever ABFA Industry Quiz Night Competition reached its conclusion last night, at TigerTiger in Piccadilly, as 'Fat Kids Always Win at See-Saw' from HSBC were crowned 'ABFA Quiz Champions'.
The final evening saw 9 teams, who had won the right to compete at the final in the regional heats earlier in the year, competing for the illustrious title. One team even travelled from Ireland in order to compete at the highest level and we thank them for their support and hoped that they enjoyed themselves.
It was a tense ending with two teams tied for second place and a buzzer round created to name a clear second place team. At the end of the night in third place were 'Seven Men and a Little Lady' from AIB in Dublin, in second place were 'The Changelings' from HSBC in Brighton, and in first place were 'Fat Kinds Always Win at See-Saw' from HSBC in Birmingham. The top two teams were awarded trophies. Photos of the evening will be placed in our Photo Gallery in the Members Section of our website as soon as possible.
Congratulations to all who took part and a big thank you to our two sponsors PKF and Hilton-Baird for supporting the events; we look forward to holding the competition again in 2009.
