ABFA COMMISSIONS NEW HALF YEARLY ECONOMIC REPORT

The ABFA has commissioned two economic reports per year, timed to accompany the Q2 and end of year statistics. These reports have been commissioned by the ABFA and will be written by Paul Mizen, Professor of Monetary Economics and Director of the Centre for Finance and Credit Markets at the University of Nottingham.

Paul is, amongst other things, a former Bank of England economist and has been engaged in economic research for a number of universities, national central banks and international organisations. In the reports, Paul will put ABFA figures into an economic context, explaining the industry’s activity and products in the light of current macroeconomic and financial events.

The first of these reports will be issued in a few months time, and will look at the results of the second quarter of 2008. The report will be distributed via Insight, our e-newsletter, and the reports will also be featured on our Publications page of the website.
